Tower of Hell is one of the simplest ideas on Roblox and one of the hardest to put down: a random tower goes up, you have two minutes to climb as far as you can, and one bad jump sends you tumbling back to your last checkpoint. No building, no shop, no team, just you against the next platform. We wanted that same pressure without opening Roblox first, so we built Sky Ascent, a free 3D obstacle tower that runs right here in this tab.
Play Sky Ascent now
Tap to start, then climb. Reach a checkpoint and it’s saved for the rest of the run. Step off the tower into open air and the climb ends there. Best played with sound on.
How to play
On a phone, drag the left pad to run and drag the right side of the screen to turn the camera, then tap JUMP to jump. On desktop, WASD moves, dragging the mouse turns the camera, and space jumps.
The tower is built from jump gaps, narrow beams, platforms that slide back and forth, ones that fade out after you land on them, and wide platforms with a spinning hazard to dodge. Miss a jump and you fall back to your last checkpoint, no harm done beyond a lost few seconds. Drift off the edge of the tower into open air, though, and the climb is over for that run, with your height as the final score. Every player gets the exact same tower on a given day, so a bad run is on you, not a worse layout than the next person. Your best height and climb streak are saved right on this device. Nothing leaves your browser.
How it compares to Tower of Hell
Sky Ascent keeps the part of Tower of Hell that makes it addictive: a vertical tower with gaps, movers, beams, and fading platforms, checkpoints that forgive a missed jump without resetting the whole run, and a fixed layout for the day so everyone is climbing the same tower. The tension between “safe checkpoint” and “one careless step off the edge” is the entire game, and that’s what we rebuilt.
What it drops is everything that makes Tower of Hell a live multiplayer event rather than a solo climb: there are no other players racing you up the same tower, no round timer forcing everyone to restart together, no cosmetic unlocks, and the tower doesn’t rebuild itself every couple of minutes with a brand new layout, it’s one tower per day. If you want the crowd of climbers, the shared countdown, and a fresh tower every round, you want the real thing inside Roblox. Sky Ascent is closer to a two-minute solo attempt you can squeeze in between other things.
Get the full experience
Tower of Hell doesn’t ship as its own app. It’s an experience you open from inside Roblox, so getting to the real thing means installing Roblox and searching for Tower of Hell once you’re in.
That download gets you Roblox, the platform. Tower of Hell itself is free once you’re inside, you just search for it like any other experience. We also built Cloud Course, a free obstacle-course game, and Isle Breach, a free siege game, both inspired by other sides of Roblox.
FAQ
Is this the real Tower of Hell?
No. Sky Ascent is an original browser game inspired by the checkpoint-and-climb feel that made Tower of Hell popular on Roblox, built entirely from scratch by our team. It isn’t affiliated with, endorsed by, or connected to Roblox Corporation or Tower of Hell’s developer in any way.
Can I play Roblox Tower of Hell in a browser?
Tower of Hell runs inside the Roblox app or Roblox’s own browser client, not as a standalone web page, and it needs other players online to fill a match. Sky Ascent gives you a similar checkpoint-climb loop, solo, without opening Roblox at all.
Does Sky Ascent work offline?
Once the page has loaded, yes. There are no server calls after that, no accounts, and no ads to fetch. Your best height and climb streak are saved locally in your browser, so they’re tied to this device and this browser.
Is it free?
Completely. No signup, no in-game purchases, and no download. Open the tab and the tower is waiting.
What do I need to actually download Tower of Hell?
Install Roblox from Google Play or Aptoide using the links above, open the app, search “Tower of Hell” in the Roblox search bar, and tap to join a round. Tower of Hell has no separate app of its own.
